Job summary

Mercor is seeking a hands-on preclinical R&D expert with direct ADC and/or bispecific experience to guide AI-driven drug discovery efforts. You will review R&D data, annotate model outputs, and shape data standards while interfacing with the client team in a remote, hourly role.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industry R&D, experience across discovery biology to CMC/formulation, and a background in assets progressed toward the clinic.

Qualifications

• Hands-on preclinical R&D experience at a company that develops its own drug assets and has progressed programs to the clinic.
• Direct experience with ADCs and/or bispecific (or multispecific) antibodies.
• Experience across discovery biology, medicinal chemistry, protein/antibody engineering, computational, in vivo/translational, pharmacology/PK-PD, toxicology, or CMC/formulation.
• 5+ years of relevant industry R&D experience (flexible based on depth).
• Experience at mid-sized, emerging, or resource-constrained biotech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review technical materials and real-world R&D data across ADC and/or bispecific programs.
• Label, classify, and annotate scientific data and model outputs to improve model performance.
• Provide expert perspective on key scientific and development decisions (target/modality selection, optimization, trade-offs, risk).
• Help define structure and quality standards for the dataset pipeline.
• Participate in expert discussions, interviews, and research engagements.
