Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to join our finance and operations team, focusing on accurate invoicing and timely resolution of billing issues. This remote US role requires an associate degree in accounting/finance or related experience and strong Excel skills.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and other stakeholders, review billing data for accuracy, and help optimize billing workflows. Overtime is required around month-end dates to ensure client deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime from the 1st through the 4th of each month as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide billing support by preparing and issuing invoices per customer requirements and project schedules.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve invoice issues promptly and professionally.
• Review billing information for accuracy and ensure compliance with guidelines and internal processes.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on billing matters.
