Job summary

Stanford Health Care Remote USA is seeking a Billing and Coding Compliance Auditor to identify compliance risks in billing and coding practices. You will review documentation, ensure accuracy of ICD, CPT, HCPCS codes, and collaborate with educators to address issues.

Requires Associate’s degree and at least four years of related experience; EPIC EHR experience preferred; knowledge of DRG/APC and payer rules. Base pay ranges hourly.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a work-related discipline is required.
• Minimum four years of related work experience.
• EPIC EHR experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, E&M, and CPT.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and perform proactive coding and billing audits to identify errors.
• Leverage auditing software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor billing data to detect patterns of non-compliance with regulations.
• Review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes.
• Conduct investigations and prepare reports with corrective action recommendations.
