Job summary

Summit Spine and Joint Centers is seeking a Medical Billing Claims Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of the billing claims team, guide Claims Specialists, conduct audits, and coordinate with the Billing Supervisor to meet monthly deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years leading medical billing teams, experience with Medicare/Medicaid, and proficiency in CPT/ICD-10 coding and eClinicalWorks. This remote role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading medical billing or revenue cycle teams in a medical setting.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, commercial plans, and workers’ compensation required.
• Strong CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge and pre-certification protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the Medical Billing Claims Specialist team.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to staff.
• Perform audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing requirements.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
• Coordinate with Billing Supervisor to meet month-end deadlines.
• Address staff questions and escalate issues to management.
• Communicate with management about performance and operational updates.
