DCYF in Spokane is seeking a Child Care Licensor (SHPC2) to oversee licensing, monitoring, and technical assistance for child care and early learning programs. The role is hybrid, with monthly in-person meetings in Spokane.

The position requires advanced degree or equivalent experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and strong communication skills for diverse communities. Salary ranges from $64,512 to $86,688 annually, with a 5% language premium after certification. Closes Oct 29, 2026.

Formación

• Master's or higher in early childhood education, social work, health/social science, public administration, or related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish for interpretation/translation.
• Experience planning/administering social, health, or child care programs.

Responsabilidades

• Administer licensing procedures for child care and early learning environments.
• Conduct evaluations and ensure safety/quality of facilities.
• Provide technical assistance to providers and respond to licensing violations.
