Job summary

KBR is seeking a Big Data Systems Engineer to join the National Security Solutions team, deploying CHEETAS across DoD ranges and labs. You will work with system admins and developers to deploy and resolve issues, sometimes in vault environments with no internet access.

Travel up to 25% (50% surges) is expected, supporting multiple DoD programs and ranges nationwide. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a STEM bachelor's degree with 10 years of DoD experience, and extensive hands-on work

Qualifications

Must have an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 10 years of DoD experience are required.
3 years hands-on experience with SQL Server Big Data Cluster, CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat, Windows Server, VMWare.
5 years hands-on experience in big data environments.
Experience deploying and configuring Big Data and Knowledge Management tools in an enterprise environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and customer-facing deployment skills.
Able to work with stakeholders at various levels and travel up to 25% (50% surges).

Responsibilities

Deploy CHEETAS in customer environments and DoD ranges/labs.
Interface with customers as CHEETAS deployments are experienced.
Collaborate with system administrators and software developers to resolve deployment issues.
Deploy CHEETAS on diverse, non-standard hardware stacks and vault environments with limited connectivity.
Communicate, document, and resolve issues across multiple environments.
