Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Big Data Architect IT Consultant Master for a long-term remote contract focused on DC government data modernization. You will design and implement an enterprise Big Data solution, including a Data Lake, Databricks workloads, and Azure tools such as Synapse and Data Factory, integrating with Esri, Tableau and other enterprise data tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience designing, developing and maintaining enterprise Big Data solutions.
Knowledge of data lake architectures, IoT data streams and data governance.

Responsibilities

Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management.
Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities.
Develops technical applications to support users.
Develops, implements, maintains and enforces standards for design, development, installation and documentation of systems.
Provides training for system products and procedures.
Performs application upgrades.
Monitors real-time databases and data communications.
Troubleshoots problems.
Ensures project life-cycle compliance with District standards.
