Benefits Accountant
Please note that while this job is 100% remote, you must be able to work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time, Monday - Friday.
Lee Hecht Harrison Recruitment Solutions (LHH) is partnering with a leading technology company to fill their open Benefits Accountant job. You will work 100% remote using company-provided equipment. To qualify, you must have at least 5 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role. Candidates will preferably have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or a similar discipline.
This is a DIRECT HIRE job opportunity where you will earn between $70,000 and $85,000 annually. You will also be eligible for this company's competitive benefits package (details below).
Responsibilities:
-Monthly reconciliations of benefits accounts (healthcare, retirement plans, payroll, etc.)
-Working with HR to ensure benefits costs are recorded and to resolve any discrepancies
-Analyze benefits expenses and trends to provide insights to HR and the management team
-Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures
-Researching and implementing best practice for benefits-related accounting and reporting
-Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company benefit policies
-Working with vendors to confirm accurate billing and adjustments
-Assisting with payroll when needed
-All other related tasks as required
Qualifications:
-At least 5 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role
-Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or a related discipline preferred
-Professional experience with Workday software
-Excellent attention to detail
-Excellent analytical skills
-Previous experience with payroll tax preferred
-Excellent organizational skills
Compensation:
-Annual salary between $70,000 and $85,000
