Job summary

Centene Corporation is hiring a remote Supervisor, Behavioral Health Utilization Management to support the Specialty Behavioral Health Program. The role requires a Texas-licensed clinician and leadership experience to supervise BH UM clinicians and drive quality improvements.

You will monitor utilization, ensure compliance with guidelines, and collaborate across teams to resolve member issues while advancing UM policies and practices. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in related field.
• Licensure to practice independently required by state law.
• Knowledge of BH utilization management principles preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred; leadership in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Monitors BH utilization review clinicians and ensures guideline compliance.
• Monitors and tracks UM BH resources to meet performance, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Collaborates with BH UM team to resolve complex care member issues.
• Maintains knowledge of regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices for BH UM.
• Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvements within UM.
• Educates and provides resources for BH UM team on initiatives and communication with members and providers.
• Develops and implements UM policies, procedures, and guidelines with senior management.
• Evaluates team performance and provides feedback on goals and career milestones.
• Provides coaching and corrective action when required; assists with onboarding.
• Attends company meetings in absence of people leader; acts as primary contact for escalated issues.
• Leads and manages others in a matrixed, cross-functional environment; champions changes within scope.
• Interprets and communicates information to peers, leaders, and internal/external customers.
• Performs other duties and complies with all policies and standards.
