Job summary

Optum is recruiting a remote Behavioral Health Utilization Review Specialist to support case management for behavioral health and substance use. You will review cases, determine levels of care, and coordinate transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings.

This full-time, Monday–Friday role offers remote work with AZ residency and reliable internet; occasional weekend or holiday on-call may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

Experience with utilization review as a primary job function.
Active independent AZ license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC).
2+ years of behavioral health experience.
AZ residency and reliable internet.

Responsibilities

Review behavioral health and substance use cases.
Determine appropriate levels of care.
Coordinate transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings.
Collaborate with providers and community resources.
