Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a 100% remote role available nationwide. You will review preauthorization requests, coordinate utilization decisions, and support crisis assessment with strong clinical judgment.

The role emphasizes telephonic work, collaboration with providers, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines. A master's in social work, counseling, or psychology plus an independent behavioral health license is required.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health clinical license in your state of residence.
• LPC, LMHC, LCMHC or RN licensure as applicable.
• 3+ years of post-licensure behavioral health experience.
• 3+ years of experience with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Utilization Management or Prior Authorization experience.
• Managed Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate, document and communicate utilization management decisions with providers.
• Manage crisis calls, assess risk and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Apply clinical expertise to support quality and cost-effective care.
• Work in a fast-paced queue-based environment with multiple priorities.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure appropriate levels of care.
