Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a remote role with Louisiana preference. The position supports utilization management decisions and ensures evidence-based behavioral health services align with quality care and treatment planning.

The role requires an active behavioral health license in Louisiana or a psychiatric RN with EMR experience, plus 3+ years in the field. Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, with some weekend/holiday flexibility.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Behavioral Health license in Louisiana (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LPCC, LPAT, LPC) or Compact RN license with psychiatric specialty experience.
• 3+ years of behavioral health clinical practice (e.g., psychiatric hospital, residential treatment, behavioral health settings).
• 1+ year EMR documentation experience.
• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, with occasional weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Review behavioral health services to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of care.
• Apply evidence-based guidelines and clinical best practices across levels of care.
• Coordinate utilization management decisions with providers and care teams.
• Provide triage support and crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitate discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Identify at-risk members and coordinate referrals to programs and services.
• Promote value-based utilization and positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support comprehensive care management.
