Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician to support members’ behavioral health needs through evidence‑based review, care coordination, and discharge planning in a remote role with Louisiana preferred.

The position requires active behavioral health licensure (LCSW/LCPC/LMFT/LPCC/LPAT/LPC or psychiatric RN), 3+ years of clinical experience, EMR diligence, and Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST availability.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Behavioral Health license in Louisiana (LCSW/LCPC/LMFT/LPCC/LPAT/LPC) or an unrestricted Compact RN license with psychiatric experience.
• 3+ years of behavioral health clinical practice experience.
• 1+ year of EMR documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Review behavioral health services and determine medical necessity.
• Coordinate and communicate utilization management decisions.
• Provide triage support and crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitate discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Identify at-risk members and coordinate referrals.
• Promote cost-effective healthcare utilization and positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with care teams and external stakeholders.
