Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a remote role with a Louisiana-preferred location. You will review services, coordinate decisions, provide crisis support and ensure proper care transitions, while engaging with care teams and stakeholders.

A Master's degree is required for independently licensed clinicians; active Louisiana BH licenses or psychiatric RN credentials are accepted. Expect CST hours Sunday–Thursday, with weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted behavioral health license in Louisiana (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LPCC, LPAT, LPC)
• Compact RN license with psychiatric specialty experience
• 3+ years of behavioral health clinical practice experience
• Master's degree required for independently licensed behavioral health clinicians

Responsibilities

• Review behavioral health services and treatment plans to determine medical necessity
• Coordinate utilization management decisions with providers and care teams
• Provide triage support and crisis intervention as needed
• Facilitate discharge planning and transitions of care
• Identify at-risk members and coordinate referrals to programs and services
• Promote quality and cost-effective utilization and positive member outcomes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support comprehensive care management

Education

Independent Behavioral Health license in Louisiana (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LPCC, LPAT, LPC)

Compact RN license with psychiatric specialty

3+ years of behavioral health clinical practice experience
