Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a fully remote role available nationwide. You will review preauthorizations, coordinate decisions, and manage crisis calls to support safe, cost-effective care.

Ideal candidates hold an active behavioral health license, 3+ years of BH and substance use disorder experience, and can juggle telephonic and computer tasks with a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted behavioral health license in your state.
• 3+ years of post-licensure behavioral health experience.
• Experience with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Ability to manage telephonic and computer-based work with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate, document, and communicate utilization management decisions with providers.
• Manage crisis calls and assess risk, coordinating interventions when needed.
• Apply clinical expertise to support quality and cost-effective care.
• Work in a fast-paced queue-based environment while handling priorities.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to facilitate appropriate levels of care.
