Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a 100% remote role nationwide. You will review preauthorization requests, coordinate decisions with providers, and manage crisis calls while applying clinical judgment to ensure timely, appropriate behavioral health services.

This full-time position offers a 40-hour week with a 12.5% shift differential and holiday availability. Qualified clinicians include LCSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologists or RN with post-licensure

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license in your state as a behavioral health professional.
• Minimum 3+ years post-licensure behavioral health experience.
• Experience with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Ability to manage telephonic and computer-based work simultaneously.
• High-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps down / 3 Mbps up).

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate, document, and communicate utilization management decisions with providers and stakeholders.
• Manage crisis calls and assess risk, coordinating interventions including suicide risk and welfare checks.
• Apply clinical expertise to support quality and cost-effective care with positive outcomes.
• Work in a fast-paced, queue-based environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to facilitate appropriate levels of care.
