Job summary

Optum seeks licensed behavioral health clinicians for California's 24/7 Access and Crisis Line (ACL). The role conducts triage and crisis intervention over telephone, text and chat, requiring strong clinical judgment and experience in psychology, social work, counseling or related fields.

This remote CA position requires independent licensure (LMFT, LCSW, RN, LPCC or Psychologist) and the ability to work Thursday through Sunday nights.

Qualifications

• Licensed behavioral health clinician in CA (LMFT/LCSW/LPC/LPCC/PSY/RN) or equivalent.
• Master's level licensure required for ACL position in San Diego County.
• 2+ years post-graduate direct clinical services experience recommended.
• Proficiency with computing basics and electronic health records.
• Remote work eligibility for CA residents and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and model organizational cultural values.
• Triage calls/texts/chats for behavioral health crises with urgency and care.
• Conduct behavioral health screenings (ASAM, CalAIM, MCRT, suicide/homicide) as indicated.
• Provide crisis counseling, referrals, and brief solution-focused interventions.
• Document interactions accurately in the EHR and adhere to HIPAA/DHCS requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the crisis team and managers to ensure safety and service quality.
