Job summary

Willow Health in the United States is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support accurate, timely, and compliant billing across our payor mix. You will manage day-to-day billing activities, submit claims, follow up on denials, and work with Revenue Cycle leadership to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of medical billing, strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10-CM, and the ability to work remotely in a fast-paced telehealth environment while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on medical billing and accounts receivable experience.
• Experience billing commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and payor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review claims for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
• Submit clean claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payors.
• Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid, underpaid, rejected, and denied claims.
• Research and resolve claim denials and rejections, including root-cause analysis.
• Work accounts receivable and aging reports according to timelines.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding eligibility and reimbursement.
