The Symicor Group is seeking a remote Bank Controller (Contract) for a Colorado-based bank client. You will oversee accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting, controls and budgets to mitigate risk, and report to the CFO.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, banking knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with banking core systems (Fiserv, Prologue). Remote work with a lucrative hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years accounting experience; 2+ years managing general ledger and financial reporting.
• Banking experience preferred; knowledge of banking laws/regulations.
• Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and MS Office; experience with accounting software.
• Experience with Interest Rate Risk and budgeting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily general ledger analysis, reporting and reconciliations.
• Produce periodic financial reports for internal departments and committees.
• Maintain controls and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure accurate results.
• Ensure reporting complies with GAAP and reporting standards.
• Oversee month, quarter and year-end close; support audits.
