Job summary

Chainlink Labs is hiring a Software Engineer for the CCIP Protocol team to design and maintain services coordinating fast, fault‑tolerant cross‑chain transactions. You will strengthen reliability and security of the core protocol while enabling performance and ecosystem growth.

As part of a remote‑first organization, you will build scalable backend systems, reduce latency, and contribute to security initiatives. Collaborate in design discussions and shape long‑term architecture.

Qualifications

• Backend engineering experience using Go, Rust or TypeScript.
• Experience delivering software within crypto projects or remote‑first engineering organizations.
• Proven ability to design distributed systems with security and reliability as foundational engineering principles.
• Built or maintained backend systems that operate in production with resiliency and operational excellence.
• Experience collaborating in engineering design discussions and contributing to technical decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the backend services that power secure, reliable cross‑chain message execution across blockchain ecosystems.
• Improve protocol reliability for EVM chains by delivering resilient systems with security as a primary consideration.
• Reduce cross‑chain transaction latency through optimizations to RPC usage and protocol performance.
• Develop internal tooling that enables faster diagnosis and resolution of production issues during incident response.
• Contribute to protocol security initiatives that strengthen CCIP resilience under adversarial conditions.
• Participate in technical design discussions to improve architecture and long‑term scalability.
