Job summary

Hex Technologies is seeking experienced backend-leaning product engineers to expand our AI analytics platform. You’ll work on complex workflows across APIs, MCP, and RBAC to enable Hex’s agentic analytics for more customers and surfaces.

Our stack includes Express/Apollo GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and AWS. This remote-first team emphasizes RFCs, code reviews, and architecture discussions while delivering scalable, secure enterprise features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building systems with high complexity and intricate business logic.
• Hands-on familiarity with enterprise integrations: SSO, SCIM provisioning, audit logs, MFA, delegated access.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend Hex’s API and CLI to enable workflows for technical users.
• Design MCP server and client implementations to expand entry points into our capabilities.
• Design and implement a next-generation access control system with RBAC and scalable admin roles.
• Own full-stack product changes end-to-end, from backend policy enforcement to admin workflows.
• Propose and implement well-architected, scalable systems in collaboration with the Hex team.
