Job summary

Piper Companies seeks an Azure IAM Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise IAM solutions across a modern Azure environment. The role is primarily remote with occasional on-site meetings in the Raleigh/Durham area to collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include designing IAM architectures, administering Azure Entra ID, configuring SSO/MFA, RBAC/ABAC, and ensuring secure access across cloud and hybrid environments. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IAM engineering or administration.
• Experience with Azure Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Strong background with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture.
• Experience with identity federation, SSO, MFA, RBAC/ABAC.
• Understanding of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.
• Experience in hybrid identity environments and app integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IAM solutions in Azure environments.
• Administer Azure Entra ID services and directory integrations.
• Configure federation, SSO, and MFA solutions.
• Implement RBAC and ABAC policies.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and app teams on secure access.
• Troubleshoot identity issues across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain IAM documentation and procedures.
• Support security audits and identity governance best practices.
