Job summary

Step Up For Students, Inc seeks a Senior Azure Architect to lead cloud infra across our footprint, focusing on scalable, secure, and cost-efficient designs. You will architect API-first, event-driven solutions and guide data governance, integration, and analytics strategies with Power BI.

Remote US-based role requiring leadership across multiple teams and vendor partnerships. Ideal candidates have deep Azure experience, data lakehouse expertise, and a track record delivering production-grade,

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technology roles with depth in at least two architecture domains and a lead/senior role.
• Hands-on Azure architecture across listed services and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience curating requirements and modeling business processes (BPMN) in cross-functional environments.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and ability to influence design without authority.
• Experience with data lakehouse/warehouse and governance.
• Knowledge of AI enablement and enterprise governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Azure infrastructure with a focus on scalability, resilience, cost, IaC, and security.
• Create reference architectures for integration, messaging, identity, observability, and environment topology.
• Support data governance and lakehouse maturity with data delivery teams.
• Stand up foundational data lakehouse on Fabric/Databricks/Snowflake and enable BI/analytics (Power BI).
• Apply API-first and event-driven patterns, microservices, and automation to achieve target state.
• Facilitate cross-functional design sessions and ensure governance through shared standards.
