Job Description

The Azure Data Engineer is responsible for managing the technology and data environment used for data development, support, and administration of the Business Intelligence and Analytics platform, including reporting and analytics. The role involves extracting, integrating, and migrating data across databases, enabling advanced analytics and data processing capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage data pipelines.
  • Data Governance: Develop and enforce data management practices, ensuring high data quality and compliance with privacy standards.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to share knowledge and improve data quality.
  • Drive automation through effective metadata management, utilizing modern tools and architectures to automate repetitive data tasks and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure compliance and governance during data use by working with data governance teams and information stewards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • 2-5 years of IT experience.
  • Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Semantic Model Definition, or Star Schema construction.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end cloud data analytics solutions in Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Synapse, or Azure SQL.
  • Advanced skills in relational database modeling, Data Mart design, SQL development, and performance tuning.
