Applied Information Sciences (AIS) is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer focused on cloud migrations. You will own moderate-to-high complexity migrations from on-premises environments to Azure and AWS, validate technical readiness, and coordinate cross‑team execution in a remote, client‑facing role.

This contingent position supports AIS as it pursues a major program, with opportunities to shape migration patterns, automation, and governance while delivering impactful projects for US clients.

Qualifications

• Five years+ infrastructure engineering or migration experience with leading complex migrations.
• Hands-on Azure and/or AWS experience including migrations, validation, and handoff.
• Experience with Windows and Linux, networking, storage, and security controls.
• Ability to develop automation in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or IaC to support migrations.

Responsibilities

• Own moderate-to-high complexity migrations from assessment to cutover and handoff.
• Validate dependencies, readiness risks, and remediation plans before migration.
• Coordinate migration execution including replication, shutdown/startup sequencing, and rollback activities.
• Develop reusable automation assets and runbooks for migration patterns and guardrails.
