Cognizant is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Lead to drive on-premises Oracle migrations to AWS, primarily rehosting to Oracle Database on EC2. The role requires hands-on experience across Windows, Linux/Unix, and clustered environments, with strong governance and stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate will own migration discovery, target sizing, validation, and cutover planning, including post-go-live hypercare and transition documentation. Remote work option with high responsibility.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience including production support and migration responsibilities.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS or other cloud environments, with hands-on AWS rehost experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and related Oracle tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS (EC2).
• Plan and execute mock migrations, production cutovers, and post-cutover stabilization.
• Coordinate with application, AWS, network, security, storage, OS, and business teams during migration and stabilization.
• Provide technical leadership for complex incidents and knowledge transfer to steady-state teams.
• Create migration runbooks, validation checklists, rollback procedures, and SOPs.
