Job summary

Mind Computing, Inc. is seeking a full-time, 100% remote DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure AWS infrastructure for a VA project.

You will work on IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) within a security-focused environment. The role requires 8+ years of DevOps experience, deep AWS knowledge, and strong automation skills, with a requirement to reside in the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS compute, storage, networking, databases, and security services.
• Production experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and system administration.
• Strong understanding of AWS security, networking, and the shared responsibility model.
• Experience with subnetting, routing, load balancing, firewall rules, and VPN connectivity.
• Experience with CI/CD principles, automation, and deployment tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across AWS and CI/CD environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain IaC and deployment workflows using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Implement cloud security best practices and compliance controls.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, security, and cost.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and resilient cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to translate requirements into secure AWS solutions.
