Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc is seeking an AWS Cloud Data Engineer for a remote, 12-month contract position in the United States. The role focuses on designing and building scalable data pipelines on AWS, with emphasis on Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, data governance and API data services.

A solid foundation in data modeling and both relational and NoSQL databases is required. The project is a temporary assignment with remote work options across the US and opportunities for extensions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience building production data pipelines on AWS.
• Experience with ETL/ELT architectures.
• Familiar with both relational and non-relational DB design.
• Experience with APIs or data services.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, security and access-control.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud data architecture.
• Build scalable ingestion, transformation, storage and serving pipelines on AWS.
• Develop pipelines for operational, historical, engineering, application and contextual data.
• Design data models for analytics and AI.
• Establish storage patterns across relational, object, time-series and analytic stores.
• Develop APIs and services for data retrieval.
• Establish automated data-quality validation and monitoring.
