Job summary
RCH Solutions seeks a Cloud Engineer to support and migrate scientific applications to AWS, working with containerized and cloud-native technologies. You will drive architecture, roadmaps, and best practices for Cloud IT infrastructure in a fast-moving Life Sciences context.
The role requires 4+ years in cloud infrastructure or solution architecture, strong AWS experience, and the ability to work remotely on East Coast US hours.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in Solution Architecture or Cloud Infrastructure Deployment
- Experience migrating and deploying AWS applications (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS, Glue, EMR, Athena)
- Experience deploying and managing containerized environments
- Experience with scripting/automation/configuration management tools (Ansible preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication for IT colleagues and end users
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Support AWS Cloud application migrations and modernization
- Implement CloudOps / IaC for ongoing platform management
- Configure AWS infrastructure for new platform builds
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
- Transition modernized services to operational teams
- Provide engineering-level troubleshooting and restoration for issues
