Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale, secure cloud platforms on AWS. This role is 100% remote (US) and hands-on, spanning architecture, IaC, automation, security, observability, and production readiness.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in cloud engineering with 3+ years on AWS, strong scripting skills, and a proven track record delivering scalable, cost-aware solutions across multi-account environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, with at least three years on AWS in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation).
• Production-grade experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Experience operating EKS or ECS clusters at scale and managing CI/CD pipelines across infra and apps.
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash; Go/PowerShell a plus.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in observability, monitoring, and alerting for cloud-native environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade AWS environments with focus on security and scalability.
• Author and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Design multi-account AWS organizations with landing zones, logging, and shared services.
• Build secure VPC topologies and IAM strategies enforcing least privilege.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling in Python, Bash, and Go to streamline ops.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead architecture/design reviews.
