Job summary

NV5 is seeking an Audiovisual Field Specialist to perform field inspection and commissioning of technology-enriched spaces. This fully remote role requires frequent travel to client sites within the assigned U.S. region.

You will observe site conditions, inspect systems, and ensure installations meet design intent and NV5 standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with Project Managers, documenting site conditions, reviewing drawings, performing testing and commissioning of AV and network

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in technical audiovisual roles including field engineering or commissioning
• Proficient with AV systems: projection/display, sound reinforcement, conferencing, DSP, and control
• Strong IT skills for configuring networked AV systems and loading DSP/control files
• General IT knowledge: network hardware, structured cabling, system architecture
• Willingness to travel domestically and hold a valid US driver’s license
• CTS-I certification preferred or willing to obtain within one year

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers to align field activities
• Evaluate and document AV and network system site conditions
• Prepare site reports identifying conditions and deficiencies
• Review drawings and specs to ensure installation quality and alignment with design
• Perform field engineering and commissioning: testing, DSP, and control systems
• Travel to project sites and support team as needed
