Job summary

Blu Omega LLC is seeking an Automated Tester to support a federal IT modernization program focused on mortgage technology. This role is remote and requires building, maintaining, and executing automated testing across web apps, APIs, and integrated systems.

You will design test frameworks, create scripts with Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, and drive API testing using Postman/Newman or RestAssured. Collaboration with dev teams and CI/CD integration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software testing experience with hands-on test automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs, developing automated regression test suites.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• API testing and automation experience with tools such as Postman/Newman, RestAssured, or Karate.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern SDLC practices.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear documentation.
• Ability to meet federal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Develop API test automation for REST/JSON services using Postman/Newman, RestAssured, or Karate.
• Collaborate with developers to improve application testability and support unit/integration testing.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Define and manage test data, test environments, and automated reporting metrics.
• Translate user stories and requirements into test scenarios and automation plans.
• Perform defect triage and root-cause analysis, documentation for audit readiness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across distributed teams.
