Ally Financial is seeking a Consumer Underwriter – Auto Finance to evaluate, negotiate, and decisions consumer offerings within Ally’s underwriting policies, growing application and contract volumes. You will build and maintain a portfolio of dealers and provide top-tier relationship management across your assigned territories as part of the Ally Auto framework.

The role requires 1+ year of auto finance underwriting experience, a bachelor's degree preferred, and flexibility for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting or financial services.
• Ability to perform technical based activities.
• Knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Demonstrating technical expertise and relationships to supply to strategy and drive business results.
• Familiar with Auto Finance industry, consumer credit and analytics.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Independent worker with strong time leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase dealer portfolio revenue by underwriting sound judgments and risk management.
• Negotiate contracts using high-touch and high-tech capabilities.
• Demonstrate market awareness and build relationships with dealers.
• Flexibility in work schedule; evening hours, limited travel and weekends.
