Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and benefits, determine coverage, secure pre-authorizations, and identify patient liabilities.
• Create cost estimates for scheduled services using patient benefits and EHR documentation.
• Communicate liabilities and educate patients on insurance terms; coordinate with financial counselors.
• Notify physician offices about issues with verification or pre-authorizations.
• Document cost estimates in the EHR for billing coordination with Patient Access.
