Team Select Home Care is seeking an Authorization Specialist to manage insurance authorizations across multiple locations. You will work under the Authorization Manager in RCM and ensure accurate, timely authorizations and payor data in the EMR.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and confidentiality, with focus on accurate eligibility checks, reauthorizations, and monthly reporting. Join a team dedicated to compliant patient care and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Check eligibility/benefits on patients at intake and monthly for non-Medicaid insurances.
• Obtain details on eligibility, deductible and out-of-pocket costs at the start of each year.
• Inform staff if patients have a responsibility so services can be verified and consents prepared.
• Track and obtain all authorizations for all locations and reauthorizations during care.
• Enter all authorization information into the EMR system.
• Verify payor setup accuracy in EMR for active policies.
• Maintain electronic records of all authorizations.
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the department.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure proper authorization use.
