The Remote Diagnostic Audiologist in California provides remote diagnostic audiology services to our partnering ENT practices. This role will work with an onsite MA or equivalent providing comprehensive audiology evaluations including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, video otoscopy, and immittance testing as well as initial fitting of air conduction hearing devices.


Key Responsibilities:


• Works with the ENT Clinic Staff to provide diagnostic audiology services as directed by the ENT group including:
o Pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and immittance testing.
• Initial “first-fit” of Air Conduction hearing aids including use and care counseling.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to assess and analyze auditory function.
• Chart notes in ENT EMR, write reports as appropriate including making a recommendation to the ENT as to next audiology steps.
• Communicate assessment findings to patients in a clear and empathetic manner as directed by ENT.
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system.
Requirements:
• Minimum Master’s Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
• State licensure and certification as a Diagnostic Audiologist in California.
• Experience with telehealth technology and remote patient care is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
