Verdani Partners is seeking an Associate Sustainability & Decarbonization Manager to support ESG strategies and decarbonization initiatives for global real estate clients.

You will analyze environmental data, guide reporting, and collaborate with client teams and Verdani experts to deliver results in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

This role emphasizes data-driven improvement, stakeholder communication, and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years overall experience in sustainability or decarbonization.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Experience using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
• Experience with sustainability reporting (GRESB, CDP, UNPRI).
• Strong communication and client-management skills.
• Familiarity with GHGP and carbon accounting (Scope 1 & 2).
• LEED or other green certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main client contact for environmental data management and strategy.
• Analyze energy, water, and emissions data.
• Provide guidance on sustainability initiatives and reporting frameworks.
• Assist clients with compliance to benchmarking ordinances.
• Support client reporting to GRESB, CDP, and similar frameworks.
• Coordinate with Verdani teams and manage multiple vendor relationships.
• Develop decarbonization roadmaps and strategic plans.
• Conduct industry research on decarbonization best practices.
• Support Scope 3 materiality assessments and inventories.
• Utilize Verdani's CRREM-aligned tool for decarbonization analyses.
• Act as SME on decarbonization strategies.
• Support with LEED and other green building certifications as needed.
