Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced Associate Finance Director to partner with Population Health Solutions leadership. This remote role supports financial planning, month-end close, forecasting, and strategic initiatives to drive growth and profitability.

The role requires 7+ years in finance, strong FP&A, and a proven ability to influence senior leaders. You will work with Product and Pricing teams, manage budgets, and guide offshore and domestic staff.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis supporting business partners in P&L management.
• Experience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines.
• History of supporting product capital and operating budgets.
• Proven ability to present materials to senior leaders and clients.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix business partner structure.

Responsibilities

• Provide finance guidance to management and act as SME for business decisions.
• Draft and negotiate annual intersegment intercompany agreements.
• Collaborate with Product and Pricing teams on pricing and profitability analyses.
• Support product investment decisions to maximize returns.
• Identify opportunities and build business cases for scope expansions.
• Ensure revenue and profit budgets are met and explain variances.
• Lead cost-efficiency projects and mentor 3+ employees (domestic and offshore).
• Maintain a real-time forecast as new information arrives.
