Job summary

Optum, a global health services organization, seeks an Associate Finance Director to partner with Population Health Solutions leadership. This role drives FP&A, forecast, and long-range modeling to enhance growth and profitability across the Whole Health Solutions portfolio.

You’ll lead a team and collaborate with Product and Pricing to optimize client pricing and investments, while guiding strategic financial decisions in a remote, nationwide capacity.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience in FP&A supporting business partners in P&L management.
• Experience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines.
• History of supporting product capital and operating budgets.
• Proven ability to present materials to senior leaders and clients.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert applying in-depth knowledge of the business for recommendations to management.
• Provide direction on structuring intersegment agreements.
• Collaborate with Product team and Pricing to develop client pricing and profitability analysis.
• Support Product investment decisions to maximize returns.
• Identify opportunities and prepare business cases for client scope expansion.
• Ensure revenue and profit budgets are met.
• Drive financial decisions with leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Explain monthly, quarterly, and annual variances and action items.
• Maintain real-time forecast as new information arrives.
• Lead ad hoc projects to improve cost efficiencies and profitability.
• Provide development to three plus employees (domestic and offshore).
