Orion Placement is seeking a skilled attorney for a California-based, mostly remote workers’ compensation defense practice. Active California Bar and at least 1 year of WC experience required; strong writing, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license.
• Minimum of 1 year of workers compensation experience (plaintiff or defense).
• Strong writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers compensation matters from start to finish.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Draft legal pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance.
• Communicate frequently with clients and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to achieve strong case outcomes.
