Mehaffy Weber, a dynamic civil defense firm, seeks an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience to join our growing remote team. The role emphasizes managing a caseload independently in a fully remote environment, with occasional in-person hearings.

The successful candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, be licensed in Texas, and demonstrate strong writing, analytical, and communication skills. Defense practice areas are a plus.

Formación

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar license required.
• Minimum 3 years of defense litigation experience.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials (virtual and occasional in-person).
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• Meet billing and case management expectations.

Conocimientos

Active license to practice law in TX

Litigation experience (3+ years)

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
