Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, seeks an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of asbestos defense or toxic tort experience to join its national asbestos defense team. Work from anywhere in the United States, with remote or multiple office locations available.

Join a team handling high-profile asbestos matters, supporting national coordination, trial preparation, and complex litigation strategy across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of experience in asbestos defense, toxic tort defense, or related complex litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• National and Local Counsel Support: assist with day-to-day local matters while supporting national coordinating counsel.
• Litigation Strategy: evaluate claims, analyze exposure and causation, develop defense strategies.
• Motion Practice and Discovery: draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs; manage discovery.
• Depositions and Hearings: prepare for and conduct depositions, attend conferences and hearings.
• Trial Preparation: work with national and local counsel on trial strategy and witness prep.
• Client Collaboration: communicate with clients, insurers, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
