Job summary

CircleCI is seeking an Associate Analytics Engineer to help deliver transformed, tested, and documented data to business users and downstream systems. You will bridge the gap between data platform engineers and business stakeholders, applying rigorous software engineering practices to data projects.

You will contribute to data quality, documentation, and AI-enabled workflows while learning from senior engineers and growing into a full-stack analytics engineer over time.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as an analytics engineer, data analyst, or related role.
• Foundational SQL with dbt or modern data stack exposure; desire to grow expertise in both.
• Familiarity with Python and understanding of data pipelines and schema design.
• Business judgment to translate data models into actionable business insights.
• Attention to precise definitions and documentation for human and AI users.
• Willingness to work Eastern Time hours for on‑call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data models and pipelines delivering well-defined data to users and downstream systems.
• Contribute to data quality standards, model documentation, and column-level lineage in dbt projects.
• Support pushing data into business operating systems and AI workflows.
• Learn and apply best practices around source-of-truth models and data grain under senior guidance.
• Collaborate with data platform engineers to ensure production reliability.
• Work with business stakeholders to translate needs into governed, reusable data assets.
