Job summary

Marqeta is seeking an Associate Account Manager to own day-to-day success for a portfolio of customers and help scale the team’s operations. You’ll grow into a strategic manager as you deepen expertise in payments and customer success, while delivering clear, professional communication.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in account management, customer success, operations, or related field.
• Exceptional organization and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional in all interactions.
• Analytical mindset; comfortable using data to tell a story in Excel/Sheets.
• Process-oriented and proactive with a team player mindset.
• Fintech curiosity and willingness to develop deep payments expertise.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Marqeta customers in the Core Segment.
• Manage day-to-day operational needs: tickets, inquiries, configuration questions, status updates.
• Ensure programs run smoothly and issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
• Build relationships with customer contacts and act as a trusted resource.
• Identify patterns signaling opportunities to improve customer experience and scale workflows.
• Support day-to-day customer management processes and cross-team collaboration.
• Document and improve operational processes; create templates, playbooks, and reference materials.
• Prepare customer-facing materials; QBRs, decks, reporting, and account summaries.
• Perform data analysis to surface trends and portfolio health metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Settlement, Compliance, Support to close action items.
