Job summary

Spectrum Science is seeking an Art Supervisor to lead strategically grounded creative across print, digital, retail, social, and video. You will direct design systems, craft concepts, supervise designers, and partner with cross-functional teams to meet client goals with healthcare-focused clarity.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in digital art/design direction, a strong portfolio, and expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of digital art/design direction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, visual communications or related field.
• Compelling online portfolio across print, digital, and integrated channels.
• Strong foundation in branding, typography, layout, and pre-/post-production.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Understanding of current UX and digital best practices for websites/emails/banners.
• Ability to analyze design challenges and develop informed solutions.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to defend creative decisions.
• Proven track record mentoring and growing creative teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic creative concepts and activations across channels.
• Translate objectives into visually compelling, brand-aligned solutions.
• Design, revise, and ensure quality across deliverables.
• Supervise output from designers and freelancers with direction and critique.
• Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering growth and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client goals.
• Present concepts internally and to clients, articulating design rationale.
• Incorporate feedback to strengthen the final creative product.
• Review wireframes and apply UX best practices to digital assets.
• Contribute to new business pitches and define deliverables.
• Assist onboarding of new team members and maintain time-tracking discipline.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and relevant regulations.
