Job summary

Quality Glass and Mirror Service is seeking an Architectural Aluminum and Glass Estimator to own the full estimating process from drawings to final order. This role is hands-on and relationship-driven, with the potential to grow as the company expands.

You will read drawings, build detailed takeoffs, source pricing from suppliers, and follow quotes through win, purchase orders, and project fulfillment. Remote candidates welcome; preference for Omaha/Iowa/Kansas City area.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of commercial estimating experience in architectural glass/aluminum systems.
• Hands-on proficiency with takeoff/estimating software (Bluebeam, Glazier Studio, WinBidPro, or equivalent).
• Direct experience with architectural aluminum systems and interior glass hardware.
• Own a project end-to-end, from quote to final invoice.
• Strong follow-up, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and specs to determine storefront system type, framing, glass makeup, and hardware.
• Build accurate, detailed takeoffs and quotes using industry software.
• Source and confirm pricing with suppliers and negotiate as needed.
• Follow up with customers throughout the bid process.
• Place and track material purchase orders and see projects through to fulfillment.
• Maintain organized project files, worksheets, and vendor records.
