What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Manage the complete life cycle of patient accounts, including billing, collections, and follow-up for all payors
  2. Conduct pre-bill edits and claim scrubber edits for accuracy and compliance
  3. Research and resolve payment issues and outstanding denials in a timely manner
  4. Communicate with multiple departments to gather necessary information for account resolution
  5. Generate daily reporting on billing indicators and manage time effectively to meet departmental goals

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. High School Diploma or equivalency
  2. Minimum of 3 years of electronic billing and/or billing editing experience in a hospital and/or physician office setting
  3. Strong knowledge of HCPCS, CPT-4, and ICD9-10 coding and/or medical terminology
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  5. Good communication skills with the ability to interact courteously with multiple departments

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  1. Healthcare-related Associate's or Bachelor’s degree
  2. 5+ years of billing experience in a hospital and/or physician billing setting
  3. Experience in billing both technical and professional charges
  4. Certified Revenue Cycle Associate (CRCA) or Certified Professional Coder - Hospital Services (CPC-H)
