Bachelor's degree in biological, natural, environmental science, or natural resource management with related coursework (6 credits in freshwater aquatic biology, aquatic ecology, aquatic botany, water pollution biology, entomology, limnology, or related aquatic science).
Equivalent combination of experience and training with related coursework.

Responsibilities

Field investigations and reporting of environmental conditions.
Evaluate water obstruction and encroachment permit applications using regulation criteria.
Coordinate with agencies to resolve issues related to threatened and endangered species.
Assist legal staff and participate in settlement discussions for violations.
Provide recommendations on mitigation, restoration, and regulatory compliance.
