Job summary

Prime Intellect is building the open frontier AI stack and seeks an accomplished researcher focused on applied RL to work with external customers and internal teams. You will own end-to-end RL programs from problem framing through deployment, building environments, evaluations, and reusable artifacts that advance Prime's platform and customer outcomes.

You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and leaders, communicating evidence and decisions while maintaining rigorous research

Qualifications

• Strong Python and the ability to build artifacts that other researchers and engineers can run, inspect, and extend.
• Hands-on experience building and debugging model-training, post-training, agent, evaluation, or closely adjacent experimental loops.
• Strong experimental judgment: meaningful baselines, careful trace inspection, clear failure attribution, and willingness to change direction when evidence changes.
• Comfort owning ambiguous problems and keeping partners and teammates current as you resolve them.
• Experience working with senior external teams and connecting experimental evidence to business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own applied RL programs from problem framing through a deployed improvement loop.
• Collaborate with customer researchers, engineers, and leaders; be accountable for research results and practical impact.
• Turn workflows into environments, evaluations, baselines, and reward signals; deploy what works and generalize into Prime's shared stack.
• Outline a clear research plan, success measures, environment, and baseline for each program.
