Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an API Test Engineer to enhance software quality through structured testing, automation, defect analysis, and release validation. You will partner with product and engineering teams to strengthen test coverage and reduce delivery risk, applying expertise in Postman/REST Assured/Karate/SoapUI, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, authentication, schema validation, and API automation.

Qualifications

4+ years in software QA, testing, or test automation.
Hands-on with Postman, REST Assured, Karate, SoapUI, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML.
Experience with test planning, design, execution, and defect lifecycle.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tooling.
Understanding of web/API and mobile/test environment behavior.

Responsibilities

Review requirements and identify test conditions, acceptance criteria, and release risks.
Design and execute functional, integration, regression, API, mobile, or non-functional test scenarios.
Develop and maintain reusable automated tests or test frameworks where applicable.
Record defects with reproducible evidence, validate fixes, and communicate test status.
Work with engineers and product teams to improve coverage, testability, and release confidence.
